NBA News And Rumors: Frustrated Jeremy Lin In The Dark On Return Timeline

The Brooklyn Nets fans - technically part of Jeremy Lin's New York Knicks fan base - were excited to see "Linsanity" come alive again but it was halted in just five games into the 2016-2017 NBA regular season after suffering an injury against the Detroit Pistons back in November 2, 2016.

"At first, I was really upset," Jeremy recalled when he got the injury while dedicating the game to a 'Ava" who is battling Leukemia. "I came back to my locker, and I wore those pink shoes that day for Ava. I immediately saw the shoes and started thinking about her, and I immediately ended my pity party.

"It could be a lot worse. I'm still blessed that I'm going to be back on the court," said Jeremy Lin who tried to see the positive with his injury.

For now, Jeremy Lin has been reported to be running and sprinting as he tries to keep himself in shape until the doctors clear him to play. So the question that Jeremy Lin tries to say to them all the time is when will he get his chance.

"They basically said, 'We're going to re-evaluate in two weeks,' which means two weeks minimum," said a frustrated Jeremy Lin upon hearing the advice from the team doctors."From there, what they've been saying is that it's hard to tell with hamstring stuff."

"It's not always easy to know what is a good timeline," added Jeremy Lin. "They (the team doctors) really haven't said anything other than to keep rehabbing, and in two weeks, we'll see how you feel and go from there."

As the Brooklyn Nets are also trying to keep Brook Lopez healthy as well, the point guard depth of the team is shallow and Jeremy Lin's return is critical if they want to continue and try to push the team for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
