‘Half Life 3’ Release Date, News & Update: Gamers Rally Behind ‘Half Life 2’ For The ‘Game That Deserves A Sequel’ Award
The demand for a "Half Life 3" release date just got louder. In the first ever Steam Award, gamers are voting "Half Life 2" for the "Game That Deserves a Sequel" category.
The "Half Life 3" release is probably one of the most anticipated title releases at the moment. Rumors about the Valve title have been around for the longest of time. Of course, it does not help that Valve has been silent on the issue.
Recently, Steam gamers finally found a way to express their desire to see the arrival of "Half Life 3" release date. Steam is currently conducting its first Steam Awards which gives players the ultimate freedom of expression in what game they wish to vote on. Players can nominate any game of their choice as there is no restriction on what titles may quality and they may even nominate the category where their favorite game should belong to.
And that is how players have finally found a voice to air their desire to see a "Half Life 3" release. The nomination for "Half Life 2" to be given the "Game That Deserves a Sequel" award is now getting momentum, reports PCGamesN. But will Valve finally listen?
Most reports are saying that a "Half Life 3" release date will definitely arrive but it may happen at a later date than most gamers would have preferred. Word on the street is that Valve might be releasing the title by 2018, the year being the 20th anniversary of the franchise.
Another "Half Life 3" speculation making the rounds is that its release might be delayed as Valve wants to give the game an edge, by giving it a VR compatibility. It was reported that Valve is currently in talk with VR headset maker HTC for the VR component of the title.
