‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ Full Trailer Features New Space Aliens, Fearless Baby Groot

James Gunn and Marvel Entertainment released the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" full trailer earlier today on his Twitter, to the surprise of many. The preview finally gave fans their first full look at the all-new and fearless Baby Groot and at some of the new space aliens.

Baby Groot is unlike the old Groot that fans have grown to love in the first film. This tiny talking tree appears suicidal and battle-hungry. The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" trailer shows Baby Groot running away with an explosive device. The preview also shows him fearlessly fight his enemies. Baby Groot may be cute and small, but he definitely acts terrible too.

Likewise, the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" trailer confirms Baby Groot still utters the infamous "I Am Groot" line. He utters the phrase in a scene, after Rocket Raccoon tells him which button not to press on the explosive device

It is clear from "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" trailer that Baby Groot and Rocket Raccoon also share a special bond. The small tree even seems to have inherited a bit of the Raccoon's bad temper.

Meanwhile, the preview also gave viewers their first glimpse at some of the new space aliens in the movie. Drax the Destroyer and Gamora are seen fighting the monstrous Abilisk. Nebula and the Ravagers also return. The previous teaser showed Yondu and Rocket Raccoon walking together. Does this mean Rocket betrays the Guardians?

Ego the Living Planet may be where Star-Lord's ship crash-landed. The "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" trailer shows the team arrive at a planet with lots of greenery and vegetation. It remains unclear though how this planet will be revealed as Peter Quill aka Star-Lord's father. Fans will eventually know when the film opens in US theaters on May 5, 2017.
