How will Arts & Entertainment Network (A&E) will end such a hit psychological thriller series that will fit the fans' taste? Will "Bates Motel" Season 5 have an iconic ending that will be remembered after years? Or will it have a poor finale just like other longtime running shows?
Norma's Body in "Bates Motel" Season 6
Before the end of last season, we saw Norman Bates (played by Freddie Highmore) dug up his mother's grave and took her home. No one but Chick saw what Norman just did to his mother. Though he found Norman's way of coping really strange, he only gave an advice to the former and leave. However, with Chick's nature, he will surely not leave it like that and plans something evil in "Bates Motel" Season 5. He will either use it to control Norman and force him to be part of his business or threaten him to find his uncle Caleb, Dylan's father and Norma's brother and former lover.
Other than Chick, there are other characters "Bates Motel" Season 5 who might accidentally see Norma's dead body. There's Dylan. He will surely make his way to comfort his younger brother, after all, he knows Norman is a troubled kid and needs some help especially now that their mother is gone. There is no doubt he will visit Norman and check on him.
Of course, another man will surely go after Norman in "Bates Motel" Season 5, Romero. We saw his anger in the last season and now, there is no doubt he will avenge Norma's death and he's convinced that Norman is at fault though the latter insisted that he's not in any way involved with his mother's death.
According to Movie Pilot, adding on to the list, there's Emma, Norman's best friend, the iconic character, Marion Crane, the new character, Madeleine Loomis and his one and only uncle, Caleb. All these characters might be under Norman's death list in "Bates Motel" Season 5 as we all know, he kills whoever comes in between him and his mother.
What Will Happen to Marion Crane?
As of now, the only information we knew is Rihanna will be playing Janet Leigh's iconic character, Marion Crane. However, theories suggest that though the showrunners hint that "Bates Motel" will cross path to few events from "Pycho", it will not totally redo the movie. There are speculations that Marion will not die. But here's a plot hole if that happens, what will happen to the long-awaited shower scene in "Bates Motel" Season 5? The series has been promoting that upcoming episode, so this is surely just a speculation. What's more interesting is why will Norman kill Marion? Is it because he is attracted to her (we know what happens to the girls he is infatuated with), he's just craving for her death, or she saw his mother's dead body?
Spinoff/Special Episode
Though it was officially revealed that "Bates Motel" Season 5 is the final installment, there are fans who are still hoping that if there is no season 6, maybe they could create a spinoff or a special episode of the show. Let's say a spinoff is too much, but a special episode would be a great deal. The episode could revolve around Norman's adult life, how he take care of his now-skeletal mother, how he socially interact and of course, how he kills his victims in a much more brutal way.
