"Fresh Off The Boat," currently on its third season is on a break, with another episode set to return in January. Not much is being reported about the series and fans are worried about its fate. It remains to be seen if there will be a "Fresh Off The Boat" season 4. Will Season 3 be the last?
Just recently, the title of "Fresh Off The Boat" Season 3 Episode 10 has been revealed. "FOTB" is currently on a two-week Christmas break but will return with Episode 10 entitled, "How to Be An American," which will air on January 3, 2017.

"Fresh Off The Boat" Season 1 was composed of 13 episodes starting from February 4 - April 21, 2015. However "FOTB" Season 2 totaled 24 episodes, and just recently The Futon Critic posted that "Fresh Off The Boat" Season 3 have been upped to 23 episodes after airing the 9th episode. What remains unanswered is if "Fresh Off The Boat" will be renewed for Season 4.
The conflicting perspective of different parties about the renewal of "FOTB" Season 4 is resounding. Premiere Date reported that "FOTB" Season 2 reached an average of 5.49 million viewers per episode while season 3 is currently garnering an average of 5.03 million viewers per episode. The report also added that "Fresh Off The Boat" Season 3's current standing is good enough despite the fact that ABC is having some hard time with its ratings.
On the other hand, TV Series Finale has a different take on the issue. It was reported that the decline of the average number of viewers per episode might dictate a negative outcome for the show. However, fans are still hopeful that "FOTB" will be able to recover from the decline and they still have a long way to go, starting with the renewal of "Fresh Off The Boat" for season 4.
"Fresh Off the Boat" follows the course of Eddie Huang's Taiwanese family as they make their way from Chinatown of Washington, D.C. to Orlando, Florida to open up a cowboy-themed steak restaurant in 1995. The story of the family will continue in "FOTB" Season 3 once it returns in January and hopefully in Season 4.
