Do you want to become one of the Power Rangers since you were a young one? Now it's your time to fulfill the dream as Qualcomm and Lionsgate sealed the partnership to bring the VR experience on January 4, 2017.
For this upcoming CES 2017 to be held in Las Vegas, Qualcomm and one of the biggest studios in the world, Lionsgate wanted to give more VR demo experience for those people who will attend the event. Since Power Rangers movie is yet to be released on March 24, 2017, this could be a great idea to promote the movie to VR fans.
Power Rangers VR Demo will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the upcoming mobile chip that gives thrills for smartphone users. As what Qualcomm stated, "The VR experience is designed to allow audiences to enter the Zords of their favorite Power Ranger, embodying their powers and capabilities." And to add your exciting moods, the VR demo will be in 3D too to embrace the moment when you are going to save the city with your superhero powers.
Qualcomm and Lionsgate were also partnered with Reel FX Studios for its animation production. This was not the first time that big names in the technology world and film studios worked together. 20th Century Fox, Alien, and AMD recently sealed their partnership to create the VR version of Assassin's Creed which was based on its original film story. With their success team up, there's no doubt that Qualcomm and Lionsgate will do the same thing in Power Rangers VR Demo.
On the other hand, Snapdragon 835 provides improved audio and graphics and high frame rates for a great VR experience. Power Rangers VR Demo was the Qualcomm's one big step to show everyone that Snapdragon 835 would be one of the best mobile chipsets.
Even though Power Rangers VR Demo will be held on Jan. 4, 2017 at CES 2017 event in Las Vegas, Qualcomm is still planning to make the VR demo available around the world. However, it might happen soon or after the said launch date.
