The pro player, Jacob "HisWattson" McMillin, is a member of FURIA Esports. He recently called out the development team at Respawn after sending out a rather telling tweet dated July 21st, reports GameRant. In the tweet, McMillin reportedly advised other Apex Legends "cheaters" of the best times to play to avoid getting banned. Here is the tweet, which as you can see is a tad bit controversial:

As per the player, he claimed that he only sent out the tweet to convince EA (and the Respawn Entertainment team in particular) to do something about Apex Legends' hackers. The developer who replied to his post wasn't amused though.

Conor "Hideouts" Ford replied with a simple one-word tweet: "cringe," to the Apex Legends pro tweet. The player then replied to it once again calling out the Respawn team for basically being "lazy" when it comes to banning cheaters. To this, Ford stated that the player is wrongly assuming that there aren't any changes in the works to improve the game's anti-cheat solution.

To cap the discussion off, Ford said that Respawn Entertainment really can't announce the changes they're working on, because cheaters themselves will know about it and render the changes useless.

Either way, the problem with Apex Legends cheaters just seems to grow with each passing day. If even the best pro players in the world are getting their bums handed to them by cheaters, then that's a problem right there. The game's anti-cheat software seems to be simply unable to keep up, and players have gone as far as to call it "garbage."

Things have gotten bad enough that a bunch of players last year were thinking of boycotting the game entirely. As reported by Dexerto, the aforementioned players were threatening to quit the game if Respawn doesn't figure things out fast. And fast-forward to today, it hasn't changed much.

Just How Bad Can Apex Legends Cheaters Get?

HisWattson's tweet was a little over the top, but perhaps he does come from an understandable place. That's because Apex Legends hackers can be very, very annoying - and downright rage-inducing.

Recently, it has come to light that Apex Legends hackers have been kicking players out of lobbies, as reported by The Gamer. Among the people that fell victim to this inane practice is Twitch streamer Camms, who shared a video clip of her getting kicked out from the middle of an intense firefight into a loading screen. Then, she was put in the firing range with a player called "autismgaming999," who proceeded to taunt her in the chat by typing "owned."

Charlie Intel reports that Camms was initially advised to just report the "bug" that kicked her out of her game. But this is obviously the work of a hacker, and not a random bug. Either way, it's been affecting so many players recently, and Respawn better work fast.
