There are new snippets of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay that have been indirectly revealed, and it offers a closer look at the game's character creator and a bit of its story.
First off is the character creator, which GamesRadar reports was shown at a presentation for AutoDesk. A few screenshots of the creation screen were posted on Reddit, showcasing the different customization options players will have once they get their hands on the wizarding RPG.
Here are the two Reddit posts featuring the screenshots:
According to the original poster, the screenshot was from an AutoDesk event where developers for Hogwarts Legacy showcase the game's development process to their fellow devs, and at times even interested members of the general public. There seems to be no immediately available copy of the presentation, but it is possible that footage from the event could be released "in the next few weeks."
Next in the latest Hogwarts Legacy gameplay reveals is a brief cutscene snippet. Shared to Twitter on the page Hogwarts Legacy News, the cutscene shows the player character and an NPC seeing a Hippogriff being accosted by what looks to be a group of dark wizards:
Based on how the player character called the Hippogriff by name, it could mean that the magical beast is an integral part of the story - to the character, at least. But that's the end of the cutscene as it fades to black, which likely would've showcased the player character's environmental traversal mechanics.
These new snippets of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay can be considered the first major ones since the big PlayStation showcase last year. The developers at Avalanche Software are doing a great job at keeping the game tight under lock and key.
Hogwarts Legacy is expected to release late this year.

An Extensive Character Creator?
Judging by the alleged screenshots of HL's character creator, it looks to be that the system is respectively robust in terms of customization options. It's not as extensive as, say, that of the Saints Row reboot, but it's far better than what you'd expect from wizarding world games.
For folks who really can't be bothered with customization, there's a host of face presets to choose from which are reasonably diverse. But if you really want to go all-in, the creator also allows players to customize face shape, hairstyle, hair color - the usual stuff. However, one apparent tab in the option is making fans speculate: the apparent option to pick your Hogwarts house before you even begin.
Some fans aren't exactly fine with already picking your Hogwarts house, seeing as they believe it diminishes the impact of the Sorting Hat. A few others seemed to be fine with it, though none of this is confirmed until new, official Hogwarts Legacy gameplay snippets are revealed.
