The Nations Cup is where drivers represent their respective countries or territories in the heated races and the Manufacturers Cup is where racers compete on behalf of their preferred automobile manufacturer.

Both of these events will be held across six rounds of Online Qualifiers and the highest-ranked players will advance to the World Series. This year's GTWS 2024 will have three World Series live events that will later culminate with the World Finals, which makes a total of four rounds, according to Gran Turismo Live.

The World Series Points system also makes a comeback this year and will allow racers to accumulate points at each live event. These will play a significant role in determining the overall 2024 World Champion at the end of the series. This means that achieving a top-place finish at the World Series Rounds will be even more beneficial.

All of this year's live events will be broadcast live, complete with full commentary and analysis of all the action across a variety of languages. There are a number of exciting and up-and-coming young drivers who are pushing for the top spots in all of the regions participating, making the GTWS 2024 series the most exciting and competitive yet.

The Nations Cup will feature six rounds of Online Qualifiers from which 12 drivers from all regions will be selected to compete in the World Series. The competition this year will return to an individual format where all of the participants will race in all three Gran Turismo World Series rounds and World Finals live events.

Top Racers Worldwide

The first three rounds of the 2024 series will be hosted by Montreal, Prague, and Tokyo but the venue for the World Finals has not yet been revealed. Players who want to join the Nations Cup can enter this year's series by heading to the game's Sport mode, said the PlayStation Blog.

The top 12 players in the Nations Cup will feature five from the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, two each from the Central and South America, North America, and Asia regions, and one from the Oceania region.

Despite the other changes, the Manufacturers Cup will remain a team competition and will give World Series partners Toyota Gazoo Racing, Mazda, and Genesis a guaranteed starting spot at each event.

The team event will have a driver from each of the top 12 brands as selected through global rankings of the marques in each of the three regions that are taking part. The main difference here is that each driver will only race in one live event in their region before the three work together for the World Finals, according to GTPlanet.
