Players often seek to explore every nook and cranny, pushing boundaries and sometimes stumbling upon unforeseen glitches or exploits. Immortalizing Ketheric Thorm

Ketheric Thorm, a formidable foe in Baldur's Gate 3, is already a challenging adversary. However, one player discovered a game-breaking loophole during a crucial boss fight at the end of Act 2. By utilizing the "Signed Trade Visa," an item that casts Flesh to Gold, the player unwittingly transformed Ketheric into an invulnerable golden statue.

The Signed Trade Visa, obtainable by paying a hefty sum to Gerringothe Thorm, allows players to cast Flesh to Gold on a target. In this instance, the player applied the spell to Ketheric while he was under the Invulnerable buff from Nightsong, a companion character.

Unstoppable Force

The consequences of this action were severe. While Ketheric Thorm remained petrified temporarily, he eventually broke free from the gold with increased resistance to damage. Despite reaching 0 hit points, Ketheric continued to wreak havoc, decimating the player's party without relent.

Realizing the gravity of the glitch, the player was forced to revert to an earlier save file, forfeiting hours of progress. Although the incident may evoke amusement at the thought of an unstoppable golden tyrant, the frustration of lost gameplay time cannot be ignored.

Broader Implications and Precautions

This incident sheds light on the intricacies of game mechanics and the potential pitfalls of experimentation. Moreover, it serves as a cautionary tale for players venturing into uncharted territories within Baldur's Gate 3.

Interestingly, this isn't the sole occurrence of glitches associated with the Flesh to Gold spell. Another player reportedly experienced permanent buffs after undergoing a similar transformation. Such occurrences underscore the importance of thorough testing and vigilant oversight in game development.
