Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Guide to the Best Weapons in Season 3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III's Season 3 update added a lot of new content to the game, including new weapons that players could use to better their opponents and come out on top.

Some of the new guns made available in the latest update were returning weapons and some were clearly stronger than others. Season 3 also buffed and nerfed some items and the two new ranged weapons are FJX Horus SMG and the MORS sniper rifle.

The MCW

The MCW, despite a minor nerf to its headshot damage, is still considered the best gun in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. This is all thanks to how reliable of a gun it actually is as it is the most flexible weapon that players can find.

This weapon can be kitted out for long-range engagements or made so that it can deal with enemies at close quarters if need be. The MCW is fully automatic and has consistent range, recoil, and damage.

FJX Horus SMG

This SMG comes into the list following a nerf to the WSP Swarm as it fills the exact same role that was left. Players can either fire from the hip or use the gun's tactical stance to aim down the sights to better see enemies from afar, according to Polygon.

BP50 Assault Rifle

When it comes to dishing out damage consistently, assault rifles are a popular choice of weapon for any player in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The BP50 stands out as it took a while for it to find its place in the meta despite being introduced in Season 2.

This gun has a ridiculously fast fire rate that makes it much better for short-to-medium gunfights rather than long-range engagements. Players can reduce the BP50's recoil a little bit by using attachments such as the STER45 Skyfury Compensator and the Lore-9 Heavy Barrel.

SOA Subverter

This battle rifle is one of the best options for players who are looking to engage from far away, particularly for the Resurgence playlists. The recommended attachments to the most out of the SOA Subverter are the Casus Brake muzzle, the Dozer-90 Long Barrel, JAK Glassless Optic, 50 Round Mag, and Bruen Heavy Support Grip underbarrel, said GameSpot.

MTZ Interceptor

Many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III players consider the MTZ Interceptor as the best marksman rifle in the game. This is because of its massive damage output and high accuracy and control. This makes it a perfect weapon to deal with enemies in mid-to-long engagements.

While other marksman rifles become better with the right attachments, the MTZ Interceptor is the best all-rounder with its well-balanced stats. Players can also further improve its performance using various add-ons.

The MTZ Interceptor offers the third-highest headshot damage among weapons in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. While other weapons, such as the Crossbow, Lockwood MK2, and SA-B 50 are stronger in terms of raw damage, this marksman rifle provides a balanced overall package that is very difficult to surpass, according to OneEsports.
