Cross-Saving Enabled for When OlliOlli Hits PlayStation Consoles This Summer

Good news for those who've been enjoying Roll 7's thumb twisting arcade styled skateboard platformer OlliOlli. We knew the PS Vita exclusive was set to hit PlayStation 3 and 4 some time this summer, and now the developer has confirmed that when it does, it will be free to anyone who has already enjoyed the game on Sony's handheld.

In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Roll 7's Director, Simon Bennett, anounced the news, as well as detailed what future patches had in store for the game.

"We have another big patch in the pipeline for June," penned Bennett. "This second patch will add fully functional Leaderboards to the game. For a game about tricking the living hell out of your friends and the world, we think this will be one hell of an important update – one that the OlliOlli community has been asking for since launch!"

In addition to the game's upcoming console availability, the team also announced that cross-save support will be one of the features, allowing gamers to play on the big screen, save their progress, and keep gaming on the go away from home. The developer is also hosting a nice competition to celebrate the good news.

"We’re going to be giving away 100 free game codes (for EU and US) on our Twitter and Facebook channels," continued the post. "All you have to do to win a free copy of OlliOlli is: Follow @Roll_7 on Twitter, and Retweet one of the select competition tweets. These tweets will be sent out periodically throughout the day."

As far as when OlliOlli hits consoles, Roll 7 isn't saying. But the team is headed to this year's E3, so maybe we'll find out then. In the meantime, check out our review of OlliOlli here, and the game's launch trailer below.
