'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Clip: Star-Lord Tries To Calm Drax Down, Captain America Team-Up Leaked?

As If You Weren't Expecting It, This Clip Proves Guardians Of The Galaxy Will Be Funny As Hell

Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel's latest venture into our collective nerd hearts and wallets, takes the adventure into deep space with its most sci-fi but also (oddly enough) most humoristic looking outing yet.

Well, not "oddly enough", if you know director James Gunn's previous work. Gonna flamebait a bit here and say the man wrote one of the best non-comedy zombie movies of all time, and certainly the best one with the word "Dawn" in the title. He's also the person whom Firefly fans should thank on their bare knees every single day for giving Nathan Fillion a cool B-action/horror hero to play in the awesome Slither. Additionally, he wrote the Kick-Ass for mentally unhinged people film Super and actually started out at schlockmeister studio Troma. What an incredible resume of astounding geek cred! Plus, he's a fan of GameNGuide so we may be biased over here.

Zoe Saldana, for her part, found the experience of Guardians far different from Avatar: "For Avatar, everything was added in post [production] [...] with Guardians it was a grueling process of hair and makeup," she told Yahoo!

Chris Pratt says he's already met Chris Evans (Captain America) but not Chris Hemsworth (Thor): "Chris Evans... when I saw him, he literally ran across the room, gave me a huge bear hug, lifted me up, and was like, 'Dude, you are going to love this!' It was like my brother congratulating me for like making the team. It was pretty cool. We bro'd out. It was a lot of love there... He's a great guy."

Evans but not Hemsworth... could Cap meet the Guardians?

Gunn continues his streak of tentacle sex references, this time in a PG-13 summer blockbuster, so let's keep this one on board, eh Marvel? In the below clip, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) tries to convince Drax the Destroyer (Bautista) to let go of Gamora (Zoe Saldana) because of the common enemy they all share (Ronan the Accuser, played by Lee Pace). What follows is a pretty hilarious talk-down of a mad... look, I don't even know what Drax is, but from what I'm seeing here, I do know he is a walking lulzfest!

Will you be seeing Guardians of the Galaxy? I still need to wash the taste of Winter Soldier out, so I can't wait!
