Nintendo Announces Cheaper Super Mario 3D World Wii U Bundle, Mario Kart Bundles For Wii U And 2DS

Planning On Getting A Nintendo System For The Holidays? They've Got You Covered With Three New Hardware Bundles

For those who are just now starting to think about hopping on board with one of Nintendo's current consoles (I get it. A new Smash Bros. will do that to a person.) Nintendo is shipping out three new hardware bundles, two for Wii U and one for the 2DS.

Nintendo announced today that over the next month and a half, three new hardware bundles will make signing on with a Nintendo console that much more enticing. The first is the Super Mario 3D World Deluxe Set, which will include a Wii U console and physical copies of Nintendo Land and last year's Super Mario 3D World, the game where Mario decides the easiest way to take on Bowser is to don a cat outfit.

The other Wii U bundle is a special edition that will be exclusive to Walmart stores. It includes the console along with physical copies of both Nintendo Land and the relatively new Mario Kart 8. According to Nintendo, though, this bundle has a limited supply, so act quickly if you're interested.

This Week's Nintendo eShop Update

Both of these bundles are set to hit stores in mid-September and retail for $299.99, essentially giving you the games for free.

The 2DS bundles will be available in early October and come with a redeemable code to download a digital copy of Mario Kart 7 from the eShop. This bundle will come in three different varieties - Crimson Red, Electric Blue or Sea Green - so you can choose which color system you want. These bundles will hit stores for $129.99.
