The game is the latest title in the long running Naruto franchise, a series so ubiquitous even people who don't read manga or watch anime have heard the name. The game comes out of the gate, its held high and swagger for days: "will top all Anime fighting fans' expectations thanks to all the enhancements around the gameplay: new fighting types, Ultimate Combination Jutsu attacks, Guard Break and Counter-attack."

Practically anyone who has ever shown up in either the show or manga will be available to play, as the game boasts a roster of over 100 fighters, including newcomers like Mecha Naruto, the 4 Hokagaes, Obito and many, many others.

Fans will also get a first look at three new Naruto animes which are added into the gameplay through the title. The short animated films are Creation of the Akatsuki, The Two Uchiha (Background story around Itachi and his best friend Shisui) and Far Reaches of Hope (with Kushina, Minato & his team during their youth).

"The game content and quality are greater than ever, thanks to a tremendous work from everyone. Our fans feedback is really important to us and this is why we created the STORM League platform; we wanted the fans to have an official platform to create their tournaments and compete in the best environment possible!" Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of IP Strategy at Bandai Nacmo Games Europe. Storm League, the fighting platform for all things Bandai, has officially launched. You can find it here and sign up. The first tournament begins on September 26.

But if multiplayer isn't your thing, fret not. You can also go it alone in the new Ninja World Tournament, which will put you on a long and quest-filled road until you meet your greatest challenge: Mecha Naruto. He sounds so awesome, we simply have to mention him again.
