Entire Skills Trees Revealed For Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel; Practice Your Upgrading Skills With New Online Tool

Gearbox Software and 2K Games released a new page on the Borderlands website letting all players explore all three skill trees for each player in the upcoming game Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

Go Behind The Scenes To Meet The Characters Of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

The neat little tool gives you 47 points to explore the dynamics of the skill trees for each of the four playable characters. The points are enough to completely max out one tree with a couple of points in a second one, or you could spread the points out among the options. If you invest wisely, you can even reach the ends of two trees with enough left over to start the last one.

Though each skill tree looks short, each layer of skills needs to have a certain number of points invested in it – usually five – to unlock the next layer below it.

Claptrap's first skill tree, Boomtrap, is all about maximizing the damage he does with guns and adding random explosions to his arsenal. The "I Love You Guys!" line of skills focuses on turning Claptrap into a support character with buffs and healing capabilities for all teammates. Finally, the "Fragmented Fragtrap" skill tree starts off by making Claptrap more of a tank, giving him bonuses just by getting hit by an enemy. It also deals heavily with his Subroutine game mechanic.

Nisha's first skill tree, "Law and Order," is largely about Nisha's Order stacks, which give the player bonuses whenever she takes damage. Her "Fan the Hammer" and "Riflewoman" skill lines generally gives her bonuses for killing and makes her guns more deadly, especially during her Showtime ability.

Wilhelm's "Hunter Killer" skill tree increases attack power for him and his attack drone Wolf, while the "Cyber Commando" and "Dreadnought" lines make him more of a tank. As for Athena, her "Phalanx" skill tree is all about increasing the strength and abilities of her Aspis shield, while her "Xiphos" skill tree makes her more of an offensive powerhouse with guns and melee weapons. Athena's "Ceraunic Storm" skill line deals with her Maelstrom stacks, which increase her ability to do elemental damage.

You can check out the skill trees in all of their glorious detail over on the Borderlands website.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! will be available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 14.
