Head on over to the 3DS Nintendo eShop to download the patch. The update is more of a general bug fixing of the titles rather than an out and out full patch, but should make for a more pleasing game experience for players who are simply biding their time until Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby hit on November 21.

So be sure to update the game before hopping on-line and using the following online tools:

Additionally, there are several updated capture and release animations affecting certain Pokemon. You can check out the stills here.

"Following the release of the Version 1.3 patch last night, one of the small features that have been added has been confirmed. In addition to various bugfixes, such as a fix regarding Vivillon's image not properly appearing in Friend Safari's menus, the patch now fixes various special animations for when PokéBalls open on trying to capture a Pokémon or sending one in battle. Previously, these animations could be seen in battle, but not when you sent out your first Pokémon. Now, these will always appear when they are your first Pokémon sent in battle."

There's still time to enjoy Pokemon X and Y. Head on over to the eShop to pick it up.
