New The Strain Season 2 Trailer Shows How Much Worse Things Can Get [VIDEO]

Things Get Worse In The Strain According To New Trailer

The Strain, Guillermo del Toro's take on the vampire apocalypse, is coming back for its second season and to get everyone excited (or scared) there's a new trailer to set the stage.

The Walking Dead Spinoff May Bring Back Dead Character From Original Show

It's clear from the new trailer that things in the city have not gotten better. In fact, they've gotten much, much worse. From the trailer we can see that infection has spread way out of control and that if you're not a vampire than you're basically fighting for your life.

There are fires and skirmishes taking place all over the city, a clear sign that things have gone horribly, horribly wrong. In a voice over, we're advised to, "Fight or die."

The third option is to come back as a parasite ridden zombie vampire. They didn't mention that. I don't know how anyone could expect a different start to things considering how we ended up last season.

When we left off the season, Team Eph had gone to confront the Master and kill him. Even after pushing him out into the sunlight, he fails to die instead, escaping with his troupe of zombie vampire slaves.

Tough break, Team Eph.

From the trailer, it looks like their attempts to stop him didn't even put a little bit of a monkey wrench into his plans. Instead, the Master has powered full steam ahead to turn the city into a death trap.

The Strain returns to FX in the summer. Watch the new trailer below.
