CHEW: Cases of the FDA Card Game Announced For May

No longer just a hit comic book series, IDW Games has announced the official release date for CHEW: Cases of the FDA, the first in their line of CHEW tabletop games.

There's heaps of talent involved with this project, with the comic's creators Rob Guillory and John Layman providing the art and words, respectively, and legendary designer Kevin Wilson (Descent, Arkham Horror) crafting it.

CHEW: Cases of the FDA will be a card game that and two-five players can play. Matches last about 30 minutes, and they involve you closing cases taken right from the comic book series. Familiar characters such as John Colby, Amelia Minz, and Buttercup the lion will be playable, and you will be able to sabatoge your former friends with villains and cultists.

“This whole process has been a blast,” says CHEW writer and creator, John Layman. “The game’s all kinds of fun, and I’m hoping to see people playing in local hobby stores and convention halls across the country this year!”

If you pre-order the game now your copy will come with an exclusive variant edition of CHEW #1, which features the original artwork also shown on the front of the game box, as well as 20 pink CHOG plastic minis that will change color in future printings.

MSRP is $34.99. Expect to see it in stores May, which gives you plenty of time to catch up on the great comic! For more info keep an eye on IDW Games' site
