The Walking Dead Season 5 Spoilers: Will Morgan Reunite With The Group? Maybe Not...

Morgan A No Show In Second Half Of Season Five For The Walking Dead?

The second half of season five for The Walking Dead is shrouded in mystery, with more questions than answers regarding what is next for the group. One theory had them running into long time character Morgan but a recent interview may have dispelled that.

New Trailer for The Walking Dead Reveals Harsh Reality Of Zombie Apocalypse

Josh McDermitt (who plays Eugene Porter) sat down with Huffington Post and spilled the beans on what will possibly happen with Morgan.

"Morgan kind of showed up to the church in the last episode," said McDermitt, "and he saw the map and everything, the greenery had grown up over some of the vines to show that several months have past. I don't think that Morgan is around the corner."

So it seems that he will not be meeting up with Rick and the rest of the group.

But- and there is a but- McDermitt pointed out the overgrowth as a way to indicate that time had passed (hard to do in the zombie apocalypse, everything looks terrible), but we know from earlier interviews and hints that there will be a time jump between the seasons.

We know that Morgan is a bit behind the group as far as travel goes, so an overgrown church wouldn't be that big of a deal. It's not like the zombies are landscaping or anything.

If the events of the next half season slow the team down, it could give him substantial time to catch up. So, despite what McDermitt said, there's still a chance. After all, Eugene turned out to be a big liar anyway.

The Walking Dead returns on February 8.
