The Walking Dead has released a new trailer and it looks like the violence of the promo wasn't all just for show. In the new trailer, we see that it really is all about survival for the group.

The new trailer is only 30 seconds long but it's an explosive 30 seconds. It shows Rick (Andrew Lincoln) outlining the groups course of action. It's clear that they're taking a more direct route when dealing with their problems.

Their problems seem to be zombies, lots of zombies. The second half of the season may just be about getting from point A to point B alive and less about new bad guys. In fact the new baddies may just be the old baddies, zombies.

To note, Noah makes an appearance in the trailer, albeit, a brief one. He may not be dead yet.

However, despite having an excuse to miss the last promo trailer, Carl is still absent from this one as well as Father Gabriel and Baby Judith. This doesn't bode well for Baby Judith in particular because in the comics, she doesn't live.

Rick Grimes, it's the Zombie Apocalypse. Do you know where your children are? You were supposed to be the better parent.

Still, Rick is big on survival, stating, "This is how we survive," indicating that he'll be making some morally gray choices for the group.

Later Michonne (Danai Gurira) asks someone, "Don't you want one more day with a chance?" It's unclear who she is speaking with but it may be depressed Maggie.

Overall, the theme seems to be about pressing forward despite the odds but it also seems that those odds are going to be staked even higher against Team Rick.
