Toy Fair 2015 News: New Walking Dead Merchandise Line Lets You Dress Up Your Pets

The Coop Debuts New Line Of Walking Dead Accessories For You And Your Dog At Toy Fair

Just because you're in a thoroughly depressing zombie apocalypse does not mean you shouldn't look good as you try to survive. The licensed merchandise company 'The Coop' - formerly A Crowded Coop - knows this and will be bringing a new line of The Walking Dead accessories for both you and your dog to this weekend's 112th North American International Toy Fair in Manhattan.

Included in this line extension is a variety of bags (messenger, duffel, cinch, sling, shopping totes and an insulated lunch tote that is a replica of Carl's pudding can from season four), accessories (luggage tags, wallets) and a pet collection.

"Our approach to any license is to really absorb it, which was easy to do since we are huge followers of The Walking Dead. By getting to know the show inside and out, we identified unique elements of the property that led us to create some pretty special merchandise...items that represent the license well and pass the all-important loyal fan test," said Brandy Tanner, co-owner of The Coop.

The Coop is...meticulous, exacting in what inspires their creations. It's not a blanket 'oh, zombies! We can do that.' No, it's more of 'Hey, the binding wrapped around Michonne's sword is pretty cool, let's turn that into part of this cool Sling Bag ($59.99). Or Daryl's motorcycle wings now part of a new Messenger Bag ($89.95)

"Many of the items are made to look worn, just as they would be in a post-apocalyptic world, and are made of durable materials. Still others carry the blood-spattered look."

The same applies to their long and successful line of pet products. After all, Spot is going to be the only one who is not actively hunted by the dead, so you need to keep him protected, and looking good. Fans should especially enjoy the plush chew toy of The Governor (MSRP $14.95).

If you, industry professional that you are, find yourself at the Jacob Javits Center this weekend until Tuesday, stop by The Coop's booth #4401 for all the latest in the licensed designs.
