Kickstarter Games: 'Epic Everything' CCG Campaign Goes Live; Serious Contender For Hearthstone’s Crown

Kickstart My Art: Epic Everything, A Real Time Genre Breaking CCG

Collectible card games have exploded in recent years, with the likes of Hearthstone, Solforge, Ascension and many, many others becoming standard go-to on many digital devices. Indie developer Unboard Games would like to toss their hat into the ring with their new game, Epic Everything, and it's something we all think you would enjoy.

The PC/mobile title is described as a "genre breaking" CCG, in which opponents play cards simultaneously. Imagine playing Hearthstone without the time to consider your next move, and you'll have some idea of what you're getting yourself into.

The board has ten hexagonal squares, five for each player. They can play whatever cards they wish, but understand each card has a specific cooldown mechanic. So, do you play it all immediately, or do you wait and see? Finding the balance is crucial to victory in Epic Everything.

"Real time and positioning mechanics allow for more diverse gameplay than the traditional CCG. The constant choices that players are faced with generate countless outcomes each game. Should they prioritize initiative over positioning? or vice versa? Even if two players were to play the exact same cards in a game, the result could be entirely different depending on their individual playstyles and priorities."

Unboard Games, a small studio made up of longtime game developers, is asking for $50,000 in funding from Kickstarter for final polishing of the game's initial 200 cards, as well as "creating an immersive campaign, multiple expansions, and additional modes of play."

"We need to fund continued art, music, and development, while putting our core team on the project full time to give players the best experience possible; but we can't do it without your help! Your donations and interest in Epic Everything enable us to successfully create a fully-featured and truly genre-defining game."

If we're fans of anything here at the offices of GameNGuide, it's Card Games and indie Kickstarter titles. Epic Everything is right in our wheelhouse and we can't wait to get our hands on it. Donate today to make this thing a reality!
