The Global Testfire event will go live at 3 p.m. Pacific on Saturday, May 23. Players can hop online and play one hour of 4v4 Turf Wars by downloading the free Splatoon Global Testfire special demo from the Nintendo eShop.

The event will end promptly at 4 p.m. Pacific, and will be your last chance to play the title before its May 29 launch. If you're unfamiliar, Splatoon is a third-person shooter--though not in the traditional violent sense you may think of. Players shoot colored ink at one another and the stages, with the ability to change between human and squid forms.
