Xbox One Won't Get The Star Wars Themed Console Games, Confirmed By Electronic Arts

When Sony officially revealed that they will be releasing their Star Wars themed PlayStation 4 game consoles, the Xbox community cheered at the news with the hopes of they will be next.

But the excitement and elation was totally destroyed by a confirmation from a world known game developing company.

According to Electronic Arts, through a recent blog post, Xbox will not follow PlayStation's footstep, with regards to the Star Wars themed game consoles.

EA's post conveyed a very clear statement that the exclusivity of the Star Wars Battlefront themed game consoles is only for the PlayStation 4.

The Battlefront PS4, which is inspired by the iconic and legendary Darth Vader, comes with a controller brandishing the Star Wars' most prolific villain and four digital Star Wars games.

In addition, Sony already confirmed that they will also launch a standard bundle that will be packed with a regular PS4, jet black DualShock 4 controller, a copy of Battlefront, and the four digital Star Wars games.

Aside from the bundle, Sony also confirmed that they will also release the 4 digital games separately and might release a PS4 Star Wars inspired controller, separately, in the future.

The thought of the Xbox Star Wars inspired consoles came from the 2011 event where George Lucas' Lucasfilm teamed up with Microsoft to release an R2D2 themed Xbox 360 that came with a Kinect Star Wars game.

To add, the software giant also released a metallic C-3PO Xbox 360 control for the 2011 bundle.

The announcement of the Star Wars inspired PS4 was made a couple of weeks ago at the D23 Expo by Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media in Anaheim.

At this point, Sony has yet to announce or formally announce the Star Wars inspired PS4 bundle's price and official launch date.
