World Record Holder World of Tanks Game Heads Its Way To PS4

Popular game World of Tanks is finally making its way to the Sony PlayStation 4 after it dominated the PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One for a long time, with more than 150 million registers. The confirmation was revealed by GameIndustry.biz, the organization responsible for the successful game.

GameIndustry.biz's EU boss, Keith Anderson said that it is really exciting for them to hook up with Sony and bring the game to PlayStation 4's audience. He also cited the success of the game in the Microsoft game consoles.

According to the reports, PS4 gamers don't need to have a PlayStation Plus membership in order to get the game. Anderson also confirmed that the PS4 players will get an exclusive free premium tank and two new maps. On the other hand, PlayStation Plus members and subscribers will get access to the game's exclusive content and deals.

World of Tanks is an MMORPG Free to Play (F2P) game from game developer Wargaming. The first World of Tanks series was initially launched in 2010 for the PC platform and was an instant hit for war game enthusiasts.

As a matter of fact, due to its success, World of Tanks holds a Guinness World Record for most players online simultaneously on one MOG Server. The record was achieved on January 23, 2011, when a total of 91, 311 users played the game on the game's Russian server. In addition, the record was broken by the European server (with the same game) on April of 2012 when it booked a total of 305, 000 players.

World of Tanks also features clan wars, which is popular game mode today, which allow players around the world to battle each other's clan on the World Map. The clan can get a maximum of 100 members, and fight each other on five regions, World of Tanks Clan needs to at least 15 members.
