Until Dawn PS4 Issue Gets Possible Workaround From Sony

Until Dawn PS4 Issue Gets Possible Workaround From Sony

Sony's exclusive title Until Dawn was recently launched, but as early as now, there were issues with the game that quickly prompted Sony to release a document that would help the gamers for a workaround about the issue. However, Sony is quick to say that the workaround is not the permanent solution for the issue, and it is just a band-aid solution for now until they finally come up with a fix to it.

According to GameSpot's report, the step by step of the workaround is the following: First, players need to navigate to the item on the PlayStation Store then Purchase the free version of Until Dawn. The second thing to do is download the file into the system (If players already have the free version, they can skip the first two steps). The fourth step is to use the restore license option by navigating to Settings then PlayStation Network/Account Management then Restore Licenses. The last step is to boot the game. Now, if the game still does not boot after the previous steps, delete the file and repeat the process from the start.

However, the workaround seems not to work as Sony's team took the forum to get feedback from the gamers and found out that nothing is working, regardless of how many times players are repeating the workaround steps. One gamer fired back at Sony and said that the workaround does not work at all. The gamer went on and said that whenever he is attempting to download the free version, it gives him an error message that Until Dawn is already installed in the system.

Sony came back to that specific response and said that they are currently working with the PlayStation Store engineering team to deep dive into the matter and fix the issue as soon as possible. They also appreciated the feedback from the player.

As of this writing, Sony is still investigating the root cause of the problem, that being said, the Until Game will still be a problem for players, but it would not hurt to try the workaround. Who knows, it might work.
