‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Executive Producer Teases Team’s New Mission, Will There Be A Face-Off Between Black Siren And White Canary?

"Legends of Tomorrow" producer Marc Guggenheim teased fans on what's in store for them in the next season, hinting that there will no longer be Time Masters and that the villain will be revealed gradually as the story progresses. More so, there may be a face-off between White Canary and Black Siren.

No More Time Masters

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Marc Guggenheim said that the team will have a new mission after the destruction of Time Council and Oculus in the first season of "Legends of Tomorrow."

"Like Rip says at the end of the season finale, there basically are no more Time Masters," Guggenheim quoted Rip in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 1. "We basically have to be the Time Masters."

Previously, Guggenheim also teased that the main villain will not be revealed right away in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2. This could mean that the first mission the team will have may not directly lead them to the main villain.

It may take some time for the heroes to really know who's their main enemy.

The Comeback Of The Black Siren

Meanwhile, speaking to Moviefone, Caity Lotz shared that she would love to face-off Black Siren (Katie Cassidy). Lotz, who played the character of Sara Lance a.k.a. the White Canary in "Legends of Tomorrow," expressed her excitement about the prospect of meeting other characters through the expansion of DC Universe.

Because Arrow has flashbacks, the dead isn't really dead in the DC Universe. This creates endless possibilities. And this could bring Black Siren to "Legends of Tomorrow."

While "The Flash" introduced fans to doppelgangers, "Legends of Tomorrow" was able to travel to different time periods. There's really high chances that fans would get to see the White Canary face off with the Black Siren.

Fans are expecting more details will be revealed in Comic-Con International in San Diego later this month. "Legends of Tomorrow" will be featured on a panel.

"Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will resume air time on Oct. 13 on the CW. Take a look back at the final scene of "Legends of Tomorrow" here:
