NFL Monday Night Football Texans Vs Jets Results Simulated In Madden NFL 13

It was an atrocious game at times, with the Jets' offense sluggish and turnover prone. New York was very sloppy and was penalized 12 times for over 100 yards and the Jets had six turnovers, three in each half of the game.

Mark Sanchez completed only five passes for 32 yards and tossed three interceptions in the first half, which all lead to Houston touchdowns. He was injured in the final four minutes of the second quarter and replaced by back-up Tim Tebow, who led the Jets down the field for a field goal before the half ended.

The Texans sacked Sanchez and Tebow for a combined six sacks in the first half and Houston went into the locker room with a 21-3 lead.

The Texans weren't done terrorizing the Jets' inept offense in the second half, second-year defensive end J.J. Watt sacked Tebow causing a fumble that was recovered by the Texans.

Houston's Arian Foster took the ball into the endzone on the very next play for a 19-yard rushing touchdown giving the Texans a 28-3 lead. Foster had a big day rushing 22 times for 161 yards and two touchdowns. He also had three receptions for 24 yards.

For the Jets the turnover woes continued as Daniel Manning intercepted Tebow's next pass that was tipped off of Shone Greene's hands. Tebow was 13 of 29 for 147 yards with one interception and one fumble. He also led the Jets with 57 yards rushing on nine rushing attempts and one touchdown.

Matt Schaub was efficient while working with a short field for the majority of the game. He completed 19 of 23 for 223 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions.

The Jets never had a chance to pull even or to make the game close. New York settled for two field goals in the red zone in the third quarter to make the game 28-9. The two teams traded touchdowns and field goals over the last 15 minutes of the game.

The Houston Texans defeated the New York Jets 38-19 at MetLife Stadium on "Monday Night Football," dropping the Jets to 2-3 on the season, while remaining undefeated at 5-0.
