‘Pokemon GO’ Tips & Tricks: 5 Best Pokemon To Use In Defending PokeGyms Aside From Snorlax!

This is a list of the 5 Pokemon best used to defend PokeGyms. These Pokemons are of random order, so being number 1 doesn't mean it's the strongest or most valuable.

Poliwrath

This Pokemon has the lowest attack CP out of the Pokemons off of this list at 2,505.33. However, Poliwrath makes up for its lack of combat power with a base defense of 202.

Dragonite

The strongest Pokemon in "Pokemon GO" with a max CP of 3,500. It's not as great as Snorlax in absorbing enemy attacks even with a higher defense of 212 but it also has less stamina with only 182. Nonetheless, still the best Pokemon to have specially in conquering PokeGyms with a base defense rating of 212.

Lapras

Lapras is a water  type Pokemon which means it's strong in attacking fire types and dragon type Pokemons. Lapras has a max CP of 2980.73 but what really makes is special is it's base defense of 190 and stamina of 260 in "Pokemon GO." Perfect for defending PokeGyms.

Victreebel

The second weakest Pokemon on the list at a CP of 2,530. It has a base stamina rating of 160 and a base defense of 152. It might not be as tough as compared to other Pokemons in this list but it is still a very effective defender

Exeggutor

Last but not the least is Exeggutor. An evolution from Exeggcute, this Pokemon does not boast the same defensive prowess of Lapras and Poliwrath. However it has an above average defense rating of 164 and has the second highest base attack from Dragonite with 232.
