'Fantastic Beasts' Release Date & Cast News: We May Not Have Seen The Last Of Albus Dumbledore Just Yet

The Harry Potter universe would never be complete without a cast as magical as the storylines are. The genius and talented Eddie Redmayne, who stunned the audience and critics alike in his roles in "Les Miserables," "The Danish Girl," and as Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything," will be taking the lead role in this magical prequel to "Harry Potter."

David Yates will be directing "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them" and its possible sequel, which is not yet named. He may be familiar to some since he had directed the last four "Harry Potter" films. "Fantastic Beasts" boasts of an all-star cast that fans did not imagine earlier that they would see in a film connected to "Harry Potter."

These include Ezra Miller, Ron Perlman, Colin Farell, Jon Voigt and a whole lot more. It has also been reported that the movie "moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances."

As for the role of Dumbledore, Michael Gambon has taken the role of the beloved wizard from Hogwarts whom fans have loved since "Harry Potter" was first released. The talented and legendary actor has already devised a perfect scheme as to how he can nail his monumental role in the Harry Potter spin-off, says a report in Cinema Blend.

While Gambon is considerably too old to play a young Dumbledore, he initially insisted that he could play Dumbledore's father in a flashback. That would make perfect sense considering that Albus Dumbledore was one of the most endeared features of the entire "Harry Potter" franchise. With that and much more coming up, it appears that "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" is rigging up to be a real treat for everyone when it hits the big screen.

With a possible brand new take on Dumbledore, an award-winning and widely renowned all-star cast and an exciting setting, which is in 1926 in New York City, "Fantastic Beasts" is sure to enchant every viewer with its magical spells when it comes out on November 18, 2016. The Sequel will be out in November 2018, and the third one sometime in 2020.
