Borderlands 2 On The PC Gets New Patch 1.31

Gearbox has released a new patch for the PC version of its cel-shaded first-person shooter, Borderlands 2. The new patch 1.31 will fix numerous bugs found in the game including some freezing issues.

Here is a list of the changes featured in this latest patch:

  •  Added support for text input using the gamepad for Steam's Big Picture mode.
  •  Fixed a bug causing players to sometimes get stuck in the "Whoops" mission of the Captain Scarlett DLC.
  •  Deathtrap can no longer restore an enemy's shields, even though it was hilarious.
  •  Fixed a bug that caused off-hand weapons to sometimes deal improper damage while Gunzerking.
  •  Addressed an issue where shotguns did not receive full damage boosts from skills and gear.

The website MP1st has reported that gamers have found several issues with Borderlands 2's shooting mechanics, including guns firing at odd angles, or guns firing more bullets than normal.

On the Gearbox Forums, Chris F., the Community Manager at Gearbox said this about the issues: "Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that we've been keeping a close eye on both this and related threads. While I'm not a designer (and thus can't really speak to what's intentional or not) I can tell you that all the specific details you've provided are extremely useful for the team that's digging into this."

Borderslands 2 release in September and is a sequel to 2009's Borderlands. Borderlands 2 was developed by Gearbox Software and was released for the Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. The game takes places five years after the original game and introduces players to four new Vault hunters as the search Pandora for hidden Vaults.
