MacBook Release Date, News & Update: Apple’s ‘Hello’ Invite Hints Groundbreaking Product Reveals for MacBook Pro, MacBook Air

Apple may have incorporated an important clue in its media invitation for the company's upcoming event. The tech giant used a tagline that may have hinted of revolutionary product reveals for its MacBook line such as the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.

Apple recently sent out invitations to various members of the press for an upcoming event to be held at the company's Cupertino campus. Included in its invite is the tagline "Hello again" that also featured a colorful illustration of the company's iconic logo.

The firm did not indicate details of the "special invitation only" event. However, speculations posted on Apple Insider teased of the event's potential groundbreaking product launch.

In Apple's history, the company used the "hello" marketing tagline during previous events where it unveiled radical innovations and never-before-seen products. During the early 1980s, marketing materials for a Macintosh computer featured a cursive "hello." A similar strategy was also used when the firm launched the original iMac during the 1990s.

With the upcoming Apple event, the company may have employed a similar tactic to unveil brand new features for its MacBook Pro and MacBook Air product lines. The same report also highlighted the invitation's multi-hued Apple logo that may hint of the potential return of colorful MacBook units.

Several reports have identified potential enhancements that Apple designers may have incorporated to the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air units. For the new MacBook Pro, the Cupertino-based company may potentially unveil a thinner unit with USB-C and Thunderbolt ports, according to MacRumors.

Apple reportedly removed the MagSafe connectors, USB-A and HDMI ports, as well as the slot for SD cards. An OLED touch panel was also rumored to have been added to the MacBook Pro as replacement for its function key row.

Meanwhile, the new MacBook Air is said to feature USB-C connectors and will come at a size of 13 inches. Speculations also pointed to Apple's discontinuation of its 11-inch MacBook Air product line, in favor of the said new unit.

Apple's upcoming event will be held on Oct. 27, Thursday. Learn about the MacBook Pro's speculated features in the clip below:
