BlizzCon 2016 News & Update: Where To Watch, What To Expect? Overwatch Sombra, World Cup, Diablo 4 Updates Coming!

The highly-anticipated event of the year, BlizzCon 2016, has finally arrived and is set to begin today, November 4 at 11:00 a.m. Pacific time in Anaheim California. The event will feature developer discussion panels, esports competitions, costume and talent contests, and even a special concert.

BlizzCon 2016 event is set and the ceremony can be streamed live for free from their website BlizzCon.com, it will be free also on Twitch and MLG.tv. The opening ceremony will start at 11:00 a.m. and will discuss the latest news about Blizzard games.

BlizzCon 2016 World Championship Tournaments

In addition, BlizzCon 2016 will host free esports tournaments and can also be streamed live on the provided websites. The tournaments include: "StarCraft II" World Championship Series Global Finals, "Hearthstone" World Championship, "World of Warcraft" Arena World Championship, "Heroes of the Storm" Fall Championship, and "Overwatch" World Cup.

Moreover, tournaments have different timetables: "StarCraft II" World Championship Series Global Finals will begin on Friday at 12:30 p.m., while "World of Warcraft" Arena World Championship starts at 9:00 a.m. Also, the battle begins for "Hearthstone" World Championship at 12:15 p.m., "Heroes of the Storm" Fall Championship at 4:00 p.m. and "Overwatch" World Cup at 12:15 p.m.

With BlizzCon 2016, it's always more than a tournament

Apart from the much-awaited tournaments at BlizzCon 2016, according to reports, there will be developer panels on stage to talk about the latest updates to their games. Also, interviews will be entertained with the designers, artists, and other creative people behind Blizzard games.

Aside from that, BlizzCon 2016 includes a live costume and talent contest, which will be hosted by Thomas Middleditch of Silicon Valley. Also, there will be a concert from the Grammy Award winner "Weird Al" Yankovic on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

BlizzCon 2016 predictions on Blizzard games

According to PC Gamer, there could be a new expansion for the game "Hearthstone," since it was teased before that this could be announced at BlizzCon 2016 event. There, too, could be a possibility of another Legion for "World of Warcraft," but it's too early to announce considering that a recent patch has been released.

Additionally, fans are speculating that there could be a new expansion of "Diablo 3" or it could be a new game "Diablo 4" that will be announced at BlizzCon 2016. Speculations came from the leaked images of the rumored "Diablo 4," which Blizzard said it's not official. Also, players predict that an HD remake of the game "Diablo 1" and "Diablo 2" are possible, since the anticipated sequel "Diablo 4" is too early to be released.

IGN reported that the "Overwatch" character Sombra will be announced at BlizzCon 2016 after the character was leaked. The fact that the Halloween Terror event is coming off from "Overwatch," it is more likely that Blizzard will surprise gamers with this announcement in the event.

Meanwhile, BlizzCon 2016 is the 10th BlizzCon event, marking the 25th anniversary of Blizzard. It's a two-day event celebration of Blizzard community starting November 4 and ends on November 5. Also, electronic music producer, DJ and actor Kristian Nairn will be its special guest in the DJ booth for Blizzard's Anniversary celebration.
