'Red Dead Redemption 2' News & Updates: Nintendo Switch Compatibility, Far-fetched; Coming Soon To Xbox One, PS4

As the much-awaited Western-themed action game "Red Dead Redemption 2" has been set to hit tech markets next year, the game might not please all of its expectant. Although Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game have been announced, a Nintendo Switch version for "Red Dead Redemption 2" seems far-fetched.

In an interview with Gaming Bolt, Wedbush securities analyst Michael Pachter expressed his skepticalness over the possibility that Nintendo Switch will get "Red Dead Redemption 2." Pachter divulged that the chances are exceedingly poor and further saying, "I would say the chances are exceedingly poor."

Pachter attributed this call of judgment from the specification of Nintendo Switch itself that diverges away from mainstream games. As such, Nintendo gamers will unlikely to get the likes of "Red Dead Redemption 2."

"I can't remember any game other than - there was a GTA mode for the DS, which came out in 2009 - I'd really be surprised if they wasted their effort to port anything ["Red Dead Redemption 2"] for Nintendo," Pachter explained.

That being said, the news outlet further noted that Nintendo might not even possess the kind of hardware that would make "Red Dead Redemption 2" playable in its gaming consoles.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will land on Xbox One and PS4 in fall of 2017. Whether it will also come in a PC version, Rockstar is yet to announce further details.

In another report of Mobile & Apps, however, it is speculated that the PC version of "Red Dead Redemption 2" will arrive early in 2018. This is as per Macquarie Securities analyst Ben Schachter pronouncement that Rockstar is likely to drop the PC version to boost the already walloping sales.

According to Schacter, "Red Dead Redemption 2" could possibly sell 12 million copies during its second fiscal quarter next year but the sales is likely to drop the following year. This is when the PC version of "Red Dead Redemption 2" comes in, in order to increase the dropping sales.

Whether or not "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have Nintendo Switch and PC versions, however, is yet to be confirmed so stay tuned for more exciting updates!
