Further solidifying a last week's leak that revealed "Greatness Awaits" will be a key phrase in Sony's upcoming PlayStation 4 marketing campaign, Sony Computer Entertainment America has now trademarked the slogan.
The news comes from Siliconera, the same publication that obtained the PS4 promotional campaign script last week revealing the strapline for the upcoming TV commercial. According to the report, the commercial for Sony's next-gen gaming console will feature giant robots, dragons, footballers and a spaceship from Killzone: Shadow Fall. The technology publication allegedly obtained the script for the PS4 commercial from a company working on the campaign.
The commercial will begin by showing an empty road in a small town, the script reveals. A lone man walks towards the camera, gradually joined by a couple of others as the following words are said:
"Who are you not to be great? You, with the imagination of a brilliant child and the powers of an ancient god.
"Who are you to be ordinary? You, who could get away with murder, or raise the dead.
"Who are you to be anonymous? You, whose name should be spoken in reverent tones or in terrified whispers.
"Who are you to be afraid? You, who can serve as judge and jury while hoarding infinite lives.
"Who are you to be a slave to the past? You who can travel time like the oceans and rewrite history with a single word.
"Who are you to deny greatness? If you would deny it to yourself, you deny it to the entire world."
As this ends, the slogan "Greatness awaits. PlayStation" will supposedly appear.
According to the leaked script, a flag bearing the Destiny symbol will be unfurled from a window towards the end of the video, pointed towards a possible joint ad campaign for the PS4 console and Bungie's upcoming MMO Destiny.
