Achievements List Leak Lead To Crysis 3 DLC rumors

A post on Xbox 360 Achievements hints that EA's Crytek developed Crysis 3 will be getting multiplayer focused DLC soon.

The list features ten achievements worth 250 points along with mentioning four possible map additions and two new multiplayer modes.

Coastline, Creek, Crossing and Ascent are the mentioned names of the maps that would add to the already 12 available. Two modes called Frenzy and Team Possession will add Crysis 3's eight different multiplayer offerings.

An achievement called "Totally Oarsome" mentions a new weapon in the form of a boat oar.

Though Crytek's CEO Cevat Yerli told CVG that the developer was still exploring  possible Crysis 3 DLC, EA has yet to announce anything.

"We have some plans in mind that we can't disclose yet, but we are going to wait a little bit to see how the beta's running and how the game does for the first few days," says Yerli."We do have a big plan to support it."

As Crytek works on its next-generation project, Yerli tells CVG in the same interview that Crysis 3 won't look too different from Playstation 4 and Xbox"insert name here" launch titles.

"I actually think people will be astonished that next gen launch titles from other companies might not be much different," Yerli said.

In regards to Crytek's potential next-gen announcements, Yerli told Eurogamer that it's impossible for Sony and Microsoft's next offerings to match the graphical prowess of PC gaming.

"It's impossible to package $2000-3000 into a mainstream, lets say $500 console," explains Yerli. "So, given consumer pricing, and given the cost of production of a gamer PC and the amount of watt of power it needs, which is like a fridge, it's impossible."

Crysis 3 was released Feb.19 for the Xbox360, Playstation 3 and PC to an average Metacritic review score of 77 percent.
