Free To You And Me: Mobile Games For Android And iOS That Cost Zero Dollar. At First.

Freemium games have been on the rise thanks to the new mobile gaming market. Though there was a time where free equaled low quality, games like these stand above the rest and offer enough entertainment value for hours on end. Allow us to help filter through the crud with these great free games that work for both iOS and Android.

Into The Dead

Zombies may have become today's most overused creature of horror but that hasn't stopped PikPok from creating an interesting mix of first-person shooter action and endless running. Though released last year, this game has been popular enough to reach over ten million downloads. What makes this game interesting is its gritty visual style along with the actual feeling of running, something that first-person endless runners often lack.

Shadowgun: Deadzone

This is the closet thing mobile gaming is going to a good multiplayer shooter. Though it isn't the smoothest, Shadowgun: Deadzone is the mobile gaming equivalent to Gears of War and Call of Duty. It's a free game that looks and plays great but, those who want premium content can purchase it. Up to 12 players can connect online with two basic modes of Deathmatch and king of the hill like Zone Control.

The Sims FreePlay

Those looking for something a little less action heavy can enjoy this mobile edition of EA's popular The Sims franchise. Ironically, The Sims on mobile always played better than the subpar console adaptations of the PC classic. One of The Sims FreePlay's cooler aspects is that everything is in real-time, meaning that it runs off the phone's internal clock. This means that a Sim can adjust to user's own daily patterns.

Frontline Commando

This Glu Mobile shooter takes a few cues from cover based shooters and old fashioned arcade gun games. Frontline Commando is a good looking game with enough missions to last for a long time. Like many of the games mentioned already, quicker gun acquisition comes with purchases from the in-game store.

CSR

Drag Racing couldn't get any sweeter than with this NaturalMotion Games release. Unlike most drag racing games released on mobile, CSR features officially licensed cars from dealers including Audi and Chevrolet. Customization of cars don't go as far as a game like Forza but it's available outside of upgrades to make them competitive against other racers.
