Conor McGregor Latest News: 'Lone Survivor' Star Mark Wahlberg To Help Double Champ Acquire UFC Ownership

Conor McGregor, the notorious double Champ is still making noise after he has written UFC history. From his unprecedented feat at the UFC 205 last November 12, it seems McGregor is not yet settled.

There has been a word war with Floyd Mayweather in an impending boxing or UFC fight. There is also news of his next  match against another aspiring UFC fighter. However, McGregor topped all these off by making an unexpected announcement lately. McGregor revealed that he wanted ownership of the UFC.

Conor McGregor Wants Ownership Of The UFC

The declaration came after McGregor confirmed the rumor that his fiancée, Dee Devlin, is pregnant with their first child. The MMA fighter said that he is going to be a father next year, during the post-fight press conference of UFC 205.

For a fighter who feared no one inside the octagon, becoming a father has him in shivers. He further added that he felt worn out from the previous contract and would like to be all-in as an owner, or have an equity stake in the company. He said that since UFC needed his help to pay off debts and push the company up, ownership is his answer.

When Mark Wahlberg was asked by TMZ about his reaction to McGregor's desire to take ownership of UFC, the actor offered his share free. It is public knowledge that the actor is one of the celebrities who purchased a minimal stake in the UFC this year.

Wahlberg further added that McGregor deserves the ownership of the UFC. He gave some thoughtful account on his willingness to working with the fighter on various opportunities. When asked for the possibility of casting McGregor in one of his films, the actor said he is open for the possibility. He concluded saying that McGregor is a movie waiting to happen.

At the moment, Conor McGregor will not be expected to have another fight this year. UFC President Dana White said in an interview with MMA Weekly that the double champ would not fight until May 2017. He added that McGregor would not want to stress her fiancée by going to another fight. He concluded the interview saying that the move is good for the fighter, for his fiancée and for the baby.
