'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Updates: iOS & Android Update Fixes Minor Bugs Like the Egg-Hatching Cutscene Animation Visible From the Map

Android and iOs users received an update on the phenomenal "Pokemon Go" just recently. The version 1.17.0 on iOS and version 0.47.1 on Android were both released by Niantic although these were not the updates that players have been expecting.

According to Phone Arena, the "Pokemon Go" update on Android and iOS was released to eight new markets such as Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. People in these countries can now install the update on Google Play store for Android users and Apple App Store for iOS users.

The location-based augmented reality game has been a global phenomenon since its release on July 6, 2016 and it has earned Niantic a whopping $2.3 million in just four days in "Pokemon Go's" special Halloween event. "Pokemon Go" players are expected to increase very soon as a result in adding new markets in the Middle East.

The "Pokemon Go" update on Android and iOS includes bug fixes including a bug that permitted the egg-hatching cutscene animation that can be seen from the map view. Additionally, minor text flaws were also rectified.

On the other hand, the other "Pokemon Go" update that players have been expecting is the update which includes the 100 Gen. 2 Pokemon that features such as Player vs. Player battles, trading and the capability to raise Pokemon babies. This should replace the Pokemon egg hatching and this update should be released on Dec. 7.

A free-to-play game available on Android, iOS and Apple Watch devices, "Pokemon Go" was developed and published by Niantic, Inc. When Niantic, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company joined forces together, "Pokemon Go" was created which uses the mobile's GPS to trace, fight, detain and train virtual creatures.

"Pokemon Go" has been downloaded more than 500 million times globally. It was one of the most used and cost-effective mobile apps this year.
