‘Samsung Galaxy S7’ News & Update: Samsung to Unveil Glossy Black Version of S7; Aims to Match Apple’s iPhone 7

Samsung Galaxy S7 might be sold in the market in glossy black color. It was reported that the new hue is being offered in an effort to make up with the loss brought about by the discontinuation of the ‘exploding' Samsung Note 7.

Likewise, with the Note 7 officially pulled out from the market, Samsung is in the work in order to boost its dwindling sales. One of the ways that the company thought of is releasing an all-new jet black and matte black variants for Samsung Galaxy S7 line.

The new color hues of Samsung Galaxy S7 are set to be released next month. Based on the report by The Investor, there is another goal why the Korean tech company is launching new colors, and it is to take on the competitors' iPhone 7 series.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S7 already have black versions, the new ones are said to be in deeper black and shinier in comparison. Thus, this is somehow considered a new look that really resembles Apple's iPhone 7.

Samsung recently got into trouble after Note 7 users posted complaints of their units catching fire. The battery is being pinpointed as the main problem for the incidence of device explosions. This led to the phasing out of the units and the Samsung Galaxy S7 replaced it.

In response to the unfortunate reports, Samsung made a move to offer incentives for affected customers. The company launched the recall and exchange program where customers can opt to exchange their units for other phones like the Samsung Galaxy S7. Or, they can choose to just refund the money.

Meanwhile, Samsung unveiled the Black Onyx series of the Galaxy S7 earlier this year. Since this unit already sporting a glossy finish, the Samsung Galaxy S7 in matte and jet black variants is expected to be smoother and slicker. Check out the Samsung Galaxy S7 below:
