'GTA 5' News & Update: Single Player DLC is Coming Soon? Take Two Games Wants It Back

The "GTA 5" single player DLC is not getting any update and this has been the case for a while now. Rockstar Games released a good number of downloadable contents but all of them are either add-ons or improvements for multiplayer game modes.

Lately, Rockstar Games has been putting a lot of effort and time for "GTA 5" Online and this made gamers to assume that the gaming company is not releasing any single player DLC anymore. Likewise, since the GTA online is the main focus, players think that the single player is being neglected in the process.

Then again, it seems that fans do not have to worry because the "GTA 5" single player DLC is still coming after all. There were reports that Take-Two, Rockstar Games' parent company, wants to make the single player support and it could be on the way some time in 2017.

In addition, on GTA Forums, a tipster with handle name of Yan2295 posted bits of information about the rumored "GTA 5" single player expansion pack. According to the post, the management behind the game is now taking things seriously and considering the DLC now.

Yan went on to say that that the downloadable content was about 60 to 70 percent complete when it was suddenly dropped in favor of the GTA Online. This is a big percentage already so fully completing it for release today is not that difficult anymore.

It can be recalled that the "GTA 5" single player was in development when Rockstar abandoned the project at some point. The gaming company did not give an explanation but many were pointing to GTA Online as the reason.

So, when it would the "GTA 5" much-awaited expansion pack be released? Most probably, if Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive are really thinking of bringing it back, the earliest time that it can be released is after the launch of "Red Dead Redemption 2" which is in 2017.
