The historical drama television show "Vikings" Season 5 has already been confirmed to return, and fans may see the end of Ragnar. Also, by the way things are going, Kattegat will have had a new king by then.

Some reports say that Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) will have chosen Ivar the Boneless (Alexander Hogh Andersen) to succeed him in his reign in "Vikings" Season 5.  While Ivar definitely has his own flaws and disability, he is one of the most persevering, skilled, and tough-hearted people that could be the new king.

The brothers Ragnar and Rollo (Clive Standen) have been making the battle too personal. In the second part of Season 4, Ragnar looks old coming back to Kattegat, having been defeated by Rollo. There have been predictions that in the latter part of the "Vikings" Season 4, Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) is going to the battle herself, as she believes that she has a rightful claim to the throne. What should fans expect in "Vikings" Season 5?

"Vikings" Season 5 is also about Rollo and Ragnar. The brothers have been making the battle personal. In Season 4 Part 2, Ragnar comes back to Kattegat looking old. He returns with Rollo undefeated. It is speculated that Lagertha Lothbrok (Katheryn Winnick) is going to battle in the second part of the fourth season. She is likely to get the throne which she believes is rightfully hers being the first wife.

It has also been reported that the "Vikings" Season 5 will be bloodier, with Ivar proving his worth as the king of Kattegat. Ragnar will also be meeting King Aelle (Ivan Kaye) this season. Lagertha will also find new love, Astrid (Josefin Asplund). This new love interest in "Vikings" Season 5 is based on a research by Dr. Peter Frankopan, a historian at the Oxford University.

It is also heavily speculated that Ragnar will die in "Vikings" Season 5. Additionally, Jonathan Rhys Meyers is set to portray Dracula, and Adam Copeland will be playing Ketill Flatnose. Flatnose is a warrior who has a Viking settlement in Iceland, which he conquered.

"Vikings" Season 4 Part 2 will resume airing on November 20. "Vikings" Season 5 is then scheduled to air in 2017.
