‘Better Call Saul’ Season 3 Air Date, Cast, News & Update: Chuck’s Betrayal Explained, Photos Hint Jimmy To Become Gene? Characters, Plot

With a "Better Call Saul" Season 3 release date still to be announced, not much is known about the upcoming third season of the AMC series. Fortunately, some details have been recently revealed which hints of another round of exciting episodes when "Better Call Saul" Season 3 premiere date arrives next year.

Sense Of Justice Spurred Chuck's Betrayal

Chuck is probably one of the "Better Call Saul" Season 3 characters that viewers love to hate. This unlikeability factor was again reinforced by his betrayal of Jimmy in last season's finale when he recorded Jimmy's confession on tape. However, co-creators and showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould warns fans that hating the character outright is probably a very simplistic way of viewing things. Just like the rest of us, Chuck has his reason why he did what he did, and in a way, it may be seen as a somewhat of a noble intention.

As explained by Gilligan, it was Chuck's sense of justice and the desire to maintain the integrity of the legal system that prompted him to act on that betrayal, as previously reported by GamenGuide. Knowing the ways his brother Jimmy does things, he did it so that the rule of law may not be tampered by Jimmy's machinations. Of  course the main question most viewers have when "Better Call Saul" Season 3 release date finally arrives next year is where the relationship between the two brothers are heading.

'Better Call Saul' Season 3 Photos Revealed

Meanwhile, AMC just recently release a few photos which gave hints of where the show could be heading with "Better Call Saul" Season 3 premiere date comes. In one of the photos, Bob Odenkirk is seen dressed as Gene, an obvious reference to the character's "Breaking Bad" stint as Cinnabon boss.

Thus, fans may expect that when "Better Call Saul" Season 3 release date comes, so does the transition of Bob Odenkirk's character from Jimmy McGill to that of the black and white world of Gene. In fact, showrunner Peter Gould revealed as much saying that "We're fascinated by that black and white world" the lead character will find himself in when he becomes the Cinnabon manager, reports Breathe Cast.

While an exact "Better Call Saul" Season 3 release date is yet to be announced, it is expected to happen by 2017, with some speculating that the show may go for a February 2017 release. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for updates.
