New 'Scream' Season 3 Cast Addition

It is highly likely that there will be an addition into the "Scream" Season 3 cast. This possibility is hinted at by the two-hour Halloween special which surprised everyone by introducing what could be the "Scream" Season 3 killer.

Kieran was finally sentenced for his crimes. While waiting for his transfer, someone in a Brandon James mask is also there, killing the guard as well as Kieran. It looks like the show will be ushering in a new member of the "Scream" season 3 cast to portray as the new killer, unless it was one of the existing characters all along.

New 'Scream' Season 3 Showrunners

When "Scream" Season 3 air date arrives, new people will be at the helm of the hit MTV slasher series, reports TV Line. However, MTV is yet to name the new showrunners for the show's third season.

'Scream' Season 3 Cancellation Rumors

Lately, there were rumors circulating that 'Scream' Season 3 air date could be its last. That is, reports are speculating that MTV will not be renewing the slasher series after its third season.

These latest "Scream" Season 3 cancellation rumors seem to be based on a relatively recent announcement by MTV regarding the series' third season. Apparently, the network decided to renew the show for another season but at a drastically reduced six episodes compared to the second season's 13.

If these cancellation after "Scream" Season 3 rumors are indeed correct, it may have something to do with viewership figures. According to the same report, the second season show a massive decline with only 377,000 viewers compared to its first season premiere's 21 million.
