Nvidia Latest News & Update: GTX 1080 Ti To Introduce At CES 2017; New GTX 1060 Is In Works?

The highly anticipated G102-powered Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti is set to arrive and introduce at CES in January 2017. The launch of GTX 1080 Ti is a follow up to its recent Titan X release with the same GP102 based core.

The Consumer Electronic Show or CES, is a world's gathering place where the business of consumer technologies introduces its innovation to the marketplace. The event is being held every January annually, which showcases more than 3,800 exhibiting companies from 150 countries. It is speculated that Nvidia will unveil GTX 1080 Ti on CES 2017.

Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti Specs

Nvidia's current flagship is gaming graphics processing unit or the GP102 of which GTX 1080 Ti has. The graphics beast has 50 percent more CUDA, TMUs & ROPS, cache and memory interface compared to GP104 that powers GTX 1080 and GTX 1070. It is rumored that it sports 12GB configuration of GDDR5X 10Gbps memory on a 384bit memory interface, WCCFTech reported.

Nvidia is developing another card

According to PCGames, Nvidia is developing another card that almost has the same power as GTX 100 and GTX 1080. Aside from launching GTX 1080 Ti, there is a possibility that Nvidia will announce the development of its new card called GTX 1060. GTX 1060 is rumored to be in the family of cards that uses GP104 GPU with 3GB of RAM. There are speculations that the GTX 1060 is mainly for the Chinese market.

Nvidia plans for GTX 1080 Ti

The initial launch of Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti will be at CES 2017, but there is no confirmation yet on when Nvidia plans it to be released in the market. The MSRP is not yet revealed, however, GTX 1080 Ti will likely to price at $700 considering the prices of previously released GTX 1070 and GTX 1080.

Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti is expected to directly compete with AMD's Vega 10 which is rumored to feature 16 gigabytes of high bandwidth memory. It also rumored to sport 4096 GCN cores with 12TFLOPs of graphics horsepower.
