Battlefield 4 News: EA's COO Rejects Players' Error Claims for PS4 Versions

Battlefield 4's PS4 Error Claims 'not true,' Says EA

You may own a PlayStation 4 and you may have tried playing Battlefield 4 on the new console, only to be stopped midway due to the highly talked about in-game crash. But EA itself seems to be adamant about the topic, refuting crash claims, and saying there’s nothing wrong with the game running on the PS4.

EA COO Peter Moore recently went on Twitter to respond to a number of fan tweets asking about the game, and discuss the notorious Error CE-34878-0 that’s causing Battlefield 4 to crash on the PS4.

When one fan wrote that “Im positive EA will win the worst company in america award again next year. You realize that BF4 on PS4 is a broken product,” Moore replied: “Let me have sometime from our customer service team try to help you. Best way to contact you?”

Later when the same fan wrote “thx for the offer/reply but there are severe issues with the game on ps4 for everyone. The game is literally broken,” Moore confidently wrote “Jason, that's not true and not what our servers are saying right now, but again I'm offering to help.”

While this may sound a bit strange to the fans since nearly the whole world is complaining about the CE-34878-0 error for the game on console, but that’s what Moore feels about the “claims” regarding the error. It will be interesting find out what Moore writes after a fix has been pushed out for the same.

The error deals with a certain issue where the player’s save file for the game will be corrupted, and the player will be advised to delete the entire save. While there are some temporary methods to get around the error, fans obviously want a fix that will work on a more permanent basis.

Despite Moore's refusal, DICE recently confirmed that the team is aware of the bugs involved with not only the PS4 version of the game, but also for the Xbox 360 and PC versions.

“We are aware of the frequent crashes in Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 4. We are hard at work identifying these issues and are hoping to get a game update out early next week. Stay tuned for more details as we can confirm them, and thanks for your patience,” DICE wrote on its Battlelog forum.

Battlefield 4 is currently available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in North America and Europe.
