Amazon Reportedly Cancels 'The Legend Of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' Strategy Guide Page

Nintendo apparently knows how to keep a secret when needed. They only release tidbits of information when necessary. However, their approach with "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" appears to be more aggressive. Reports claim the company has been proactively marketing the new game through continuous media releases.

A recent report from Game Rant indicates that the Collector's Edition strategy guide was removed from the U.K. Amazon store. Sources suspect the product description for the item published too much information about the upcoming open-world RPG. The book was reportedly still available for pre-order last weekend, but its placeholder page now comes up with a 404 error. This obviously indicates that the product was removed from the online store.

However, the Amazon U.S. store reportedly still shows the product page for the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" strategy guide, but the item is not on pre-order status. The guide's full description, which was also found on the U.K. store is still listed. Nintendo Everything managed to copy the description, which does not even mention anything about the story.

The only notable information that could be closely called a spoiler is the part where it describes the number of puzzles, mini-dungeons and side quests. Everything else is just an overview of what the guide includes. The reason for the removal of the product still remains unclear, but its presence in the U.S. website could possibly indicate a possible error from Amazon's system.

A previous article from Gamenguide reported about the most recent "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" discovery. Some users claimed to have translated the Hylian text on the collector's edition map. The translation revealed the game's backstory, which talks about the different races that inhabit the land and about the Sheikah. The game will officially launch for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii U on March 3, 2017.
