Hitman: Absolution - Elite Edition Headed to Mac in Spring [VIDEO]

Agent 47 Finally Heading to Mac With Hitman: Absolution - Elite Edition

Hitman: Absolution was first released on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 to some pretty impressive reviews, but it completely passed over Mac. Now, two years later, Mac gamers are finally getting the chance to try their hand at 47's latest targets.

Hitman: Absolution - Elite Edition will grace the Mac this Spring. As the name implies, there's more than just the complete game offered in this version. According to a press release, "All previously released additional content will be included in Hitman: Absolution - Elite Edition."

This includes:

- the Sniper Challenge, a mini-game promotion that was offered to pre-order customers. The standalone experience offered players a short taste of Absolution before the game's release, letting players compete against each other. Players were required to engineer a long-range hit, using only their sharp-shooting abilities to pull off audacious kills and cover their tracks.

- Contracts, Absolultion's response to multiplayer mayhem and online play. 47's "skills" don't really lend themselves to the spray n' pray style of, say, a Call of Duty or Battlefield. Contracts is a sort of mission-creation mode let gamers get a little creative, adding a new level of challenge to the game's maps by tweaking things a bit, like changing rules, selecting different targets, and dictating what equipment and outfits could or could not be used.

Pricing, system requirements and a minisite dedicated to Hitman: Absolution - Elite Edition will be available closer to the release date. In the mean time, check out a trailer for it below.
