"Spellforce 3" rolled out with a combination of real-time strategy and role-playing genres well. The two genres may be like oil and water as it may be difficult to control hordes of troops and building the character in a wave of artificially intelligent NPC bodies but that is what "Spellforce 3" contains. The game was announced at the Pax East with the cross of genres and games such as "Skyrim and "Baldur's Gate" with a splash of "Neverwinter Knights".

Campaign And Multiplayer Mode Mixed To Give Players Progression

The Development Director of THQ Nordic, Reinhard Pollice revealed more about the game modes on "Spellforce 3" noting that the game has a campaign mode and a multiplayer mode as well. In the former, gamers are tasked to take on a group of heroes through an undiscovered map. The multiplayer mode, on the other hand, is similar to a normal real-time strategy game, but with a twist.

Note that the "Spellforce 3" heroes picked up in the campaign mode may be played in multiplayer fights so that gamers have a sense of progression while keeping its real-time strategy identity. In addition, Pollice revealed that there will be around 10 heroes at launch, WCCF Tech reported. Furthermore, note that the game involves elves, orcs, and humans.

New "Spellforce 3" Trailer Launched

In other news, the "Spellforce 3" publisher Nordic Games has recently published a new video for the real-time strategy and role-playing hybrid game. It has been revealed that "Spellforce 3" would be set in a fantasy world based on the popular series created by Phenomic Game Development. Moreover, the game has been developed by Grimlore Games, Gamershell reported.

"Spellforce 3" is set to take place prior to the events of "Spellforce: The Order of Dawn," the hybrid game released in 2003. It is expected that "Spellforce 3" would break out on the PC platform in the third quarter of this year. In the meantime, the beta is set to come out by the end of April. Watch the trailer below:
